Recipe: Grilled Pork Steaks with Lemon Butter Sauce

Heres a simple recipe for pork steaks or chops. All you do is baste the meat with a sauce that consists of butter, lemon juice and garlic. Very basic, and the chops will be moist and tasty.

Grilled Pork Steaks With Lemon Butter Sauce Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons butter

  • 2 teaspoons lemon juice

  • 1 clove garlic, minced

  • 6 pork chops

  • 1 pinch kosher salt

How to Make Grilled Pork Steaks With Lemon Butter Sauce

  1. Preheat an outdoor grill for high heat and lightly oil grate.

  2. Melt the butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. Stir in the lemon juice and the garlic and heat until garlic is tender. Remove from heat.

  3. Arrange the chops on a plate and coat top side of each chop with the butter mixture. Place chops on the grill butter side down.

  4. Sear over high heat for 1 minute, coating the top side of the chops with the butter mixture while the other side is grilling. Flip the chops and sear the other side for 1 minute.

  5. Turn the meat, cover the grill and cook 3 to 5 more minutes per side, brushing occasionally with the remaining butter mixture. Pork chops are done when internal temperature reaches 145 degrees F (63 degrees C).

Grilled Pork Steaks With Lemon Butter Sauce Reviews

  • My family & I really like highly seasoned food. As is, I knew this would be a very bland recipe. I mixed in Montreal steak seasoning with the lemon juice & a little water & marinated pork steaks for about 4 hrs. Then I poured off the marinade & mixed in the butter & brought it to a boil & then basted the pork steaks as recipe suggests. I fixed them in the broiler & they were delicious. Would have given a four but as stated as is I think the recipe is bland.

  • Fabulous Ive made these pork chops several times and it never disapoints The only thing I add is garlic salt,YUMI also sautee them in the pan, covered,so it seals in all the juices Thank YOU

  • I added some oregano, parsley, and rosemary to the recipe. It added a lot of extra flavor.

  • This was absolutely delicious. At first I wasnt sure about putting the buttered chops on the high heat of the coals, so I waited until they cooled a bit. Next time I wont. The high heat for some reason doesnt burn it, it gives it a great sort of crust. Even my picky kids ate whole chop each. And it was easy to make - you didnt have to plan ahead to marinate. Definitely a keeper. I actually made extra of the butter mixture to use as a sauce for the side dish (couscous or rice.)

  • Absolutely wonderful. It was simple and quick. My entire family liked it. A definite keeper. I am going to try this on chicken also. Thanks for the good recipe. Cindy

  • These were okay, I didnt find they had a lot of flavor myself. But they were very moist and tender. Make sure you dont over cook them though. I let mind marinade overnight, but that didnt seem to help much.

  • Easy, delicious, simple ingredients. This made the chops tast almost like steak Thank you sooo much for sharing

  • This was GREAT. Especially for low-carb diets, but even if not. I added mesquite seasoning, garlic and black pepper and marinated about an hour. Also I added tenderizer because the cuts I used were very cheap. Came very tender & very tasty. Thanks for the great recipe

  • I would have liked the marinade to get into the meat a little more, so maybe poking it with a fork before marinating is a good idea. I marinated them for a few hours, adding some black pepper and Adobo seasoning to the marinade, and grilled them on my mini indoor grill. I just seared each side on high heat every other minute while basting the other side as recommended, and kept a very close eye on it - you definitely have to do that on an indoor grill, especially if you use tender boneless chops like I did. The boyfriend and I really liked the flavor; were always looking for healthy and tasty recipes. Ill make it again, thanks

  • Was very surprised how delicious the chops turned out. The recipe is very simple but the favor is wonderful

  • Very tasty - delicate citrus flavor compliments the garlic. It worked in the broiler, too. Then I took the pan juices and made a delicious gravy for my mashed potatos Thanks for sharing.

  • Wonderful, tasty, and fast This was an easy and delicious way to grill pork chops. My family and guest loved them. I doubled the mixture to be sure there was enough for 7 boneless chops.

  • Yum This would make a great marinade for any meat I plan on trying it again with T-bone steaks I marinated the chops for about 3 hours, and had planned on grilling them outside, but it rained, so I broiled them instead. They were EXCELLENT

  • Not bad, the butter gave it a good flavor. I did add pepper in the sauce. The hubby and four kids gobbled them up.

  • I was looking for something fast and easy and found this recipe. It was so tender and very good. It is an excellent recipe for those watching their carbs.

  • I had made these Pork steaks one night and forgot to review them... They were really good... even though I forgot to baste the with the lemon butter mixture. I will have to remember that key point next time.. But even with out it the meat was tender and tasty. Thanks

  • So easy. Very good flavor. I gave it four stars because I marinated mine overnight before I cooked it. I dont think it would have been quite as good without marinating.

  • This recipe is very simple and very tasty My husband loved this and said the texture of the pork was just right. Thank you

  • As others stated, the chops were pretty bland. I probably wont make this again. Thank you though.

  • I used 3 cloves of garlic for the three pork steaks we had and jazzed up the recipe with some herbs, salt and pepper, a pinch of lemon peel, and a splash of worcestershire. Could stand a little more lemon juice. Good off the grill

  • It was a very good and easy recipe but I would recommend marinating the pork chops for several hours maybe even over night before grilling to help enhance the flavor.

  • This was an ok recipe...it was quick enough to throw together last minute when i was in a hurry.

  • Great Recipe I used an indoor covered grill and it turned out very flavorful. I usually use a lot of seasonings so I was hesitant about the simplicity of this recipe, but I was pleasantly surprised Thanks

  • Delicious Everyone in my house rated it as a keeper. I used a little more lemon than called for, but it was fine.

  • My husband and I love this recipe I took the advice of another reviewer and added parsley, oregano, and rosemary. This made the steaks very tasty I used our stovetop grill and cooked the steaks for 5 min. on each side, then put the under the broiler and spooned on the butter sauce, cooking them for another 5-10 min on each side. This got them well done but they remained very tender Best pork steaks I have ever had

  • The most delicious chops I ever had ... I was screaming with every bite. Thank you

  • Quick and easy. I didnt expect lemon butter to go so well with Pork Chops

  • Wow Ive always been afraid to grill pork because it always turns out tough. But this was so tender It was delicious and even my picky children loved it and requested it again. We followed the cooking directions exactly and it was cooked just right. Feel free to add any other spices or rubs on it, just use plenty of butter.

  • Yum So easy Its cold outside, so I did these on my stovetop grill pan, and they turned out great. Nice and moist and flavorful.

  • Quick and easy to make. I served them with baked potatoes and corn.

  • Not bad, but nothing to write home about. I was looking for some flavor to permeate the meat a bit more...

  • These were surprisingly good I was looking for something fast and easy because I had no time to let the steaks marinate. The reviews seemed to run the gamut and like some others, my family generally likes things a little more favorful. BUT... this recipe made up for the lack of spice with being juicy in an unexpected way. I served with rice, veggies and rolls for a quick meal. A basic "keeper."

  • Quick easy and yummy. perfect for the pork shoulder steaks we had. Thank you

  • Nice quick recipe. Very basic, yet tasty. Nice served with some rice and steamed veggies :)

  • These were good. Came out nice and tender but may need some kind of marinade or additional flavoring.

  • This turn out well. I usually make more baste then is required.

  • Love this meal

  • Tasty, the souce caramelized on the grill, the pork was not too dry. My Pork Chops were about 3/4 inch think.

  • Better on grill I think flavor good

  • This was ok, very little flavor.

  • Definitely a keeper, but next time we will let the pork marinate a bit longer in the sauce to soak in more of the lemon flavor. I had never tried my pork steaks in this way, but I was very satisfied with the results. Served it with a heaping pile of steamed broccoli, lightly seasoned and buttered, and rice pilaf.

  • I thought it tasted a bit too bland for my taste buds. Sounded Delicious.

  • I made this tonight with the ingredients listed, however I broiled mine. I sauteed as stated then poured over meat and put in the oven covered with foil to get desired tenderness. Very good. Thanks

  • Just tried this recipe last night and it was delicious. Im not a fan of pork chops but I get them for my husband and now ill definitely be getting more and using this recipe

  • The flavor just seemed bland.

  • It was fairly bland. If I were to do it again, Id marinate before browning in the pan. Definitely put salt and pepper on after cooking. Double the garlic and lemon, maybe? Im not sure. Its just bland. I could put some cayenne or something on my husbands, but not mine. Id have to play around a bit.
